Greetings,

We attach the Parish Newsletter, the Advent Wreath with weekly prayer for children and the Children’s Week Flyer and Submission.  The Archdiocese is encouraging all children to participate, please encourage your children to contribute.  All response should be sent in by Friday 18 December.

We have started to give you some insights on the Safeguarding framework (page 2-4).  In this week’s newsletter we share the Foundation Documents that are compulsory for all Volunteers.  Please take to ensure that you have completed your part.  Thank you to all those who have replied and have some questions.  Due to the influx of responses, we will revert back to you shortly, please bear with us.

A reminder that a WORKING BEE @ ST. MARK’S is earmarked for Saturday, 19 December 9.00am to 12noon.  We ask all parishioners to please attend and come with cleaning gear and gardening tools.

ST. JOSEPH’S PARISH CHARISMATIC PRAYER GROUP

“On Monday the St Joseph’s (Catholic Charismatic) Prayer Group had their last meeting for the year.  After what has been a year of surprises (?) we have happily closed down.   We feel we have achieved much with our Free Conference Call Meetings, with our songs, talks, prayer times and all kinds of events on Zoom – we have been able to attend many events all over the world, which we would never have got to if Covid-19 hadn’t been here!

On Saturday we have our last “Renewal Day” on Zoom – 9.30 to 12 noon.  Then we are all meeting at the Springvale RSL for lunch – approximately25 of us.  It will be a fun time, with free raffles – everyone goes home with a gift; then there is another raffle of a hamper! We are hoping to start 2021 off with a Healing Mass on 1st February – but we’ll have to wait and see what’s in the pipeline!

Christmas greetings to Fr Joseph, Fr John and Friars, and all our parishioners.  May we all have a very blessed 2021.”

Many thanks.

God bless,

Bernadette Allen,
