Love thy neighbour
To love your neighbour seems simple, and yet can be the most challenging part of living faithfully. Sometimes our neighbours try our patience. In an era of increasing polarisation, it feels harder to see ourselves as a community of neighbours. But to love your neighbour as yourself means to see people from all walks of life as being as worthy of dignity and compassion as you are. The challenge in today’s Gospel is that to love your neighbour is to live out your faith in all the interactions, conversations, and even arguments you have with others. That you do so in the knowledge that God is within all of us, and in loving your neighbour, you love God.Share on FacebookShare on Twitter
